It is about five and a half thousand years ago. It used to be a very powerful nation. Those people were at the height of scientific progress and advancements in terms of technology. Those people used to carve the mountains in such a beautiful way and make the strongest palaces and constructions that today's science is amazed at their wisdom. Those people were so intelligent and experts in construction that they used to build heaven in competition with Allah. He was very powerful and a genius. Due to their very characteristics, they were called the superpower of that era.
Due to their advanced constructions and features, they became rebellious. They denied the existence of God. If the Prophets would explain the guidance to them, they would make fun of them and torment them, they would force them out of their villages.
That region was very green and lush. But when it was decided to punish them, the Baqarshins were stopped from them, but they still did not stop. Among them, the rains and clouds completely turned away from the order of their Lord, due to which a situation of famine had arisen there. Then one day a very strange incident happened.
One day they saw a cloud of smoke rising in the sky which was rapidly moving towards them. They will be surrounded by greenery everywhere. But this cloud was about to rain wrath. It was not that cloud, but that cloud had left nothing but their strong houses and palaces.
This incident is mentioned in the Holy Quran.
Then when they saw that it was a cloud moving towards their plains, they said: This is a cloud that will rain on us, (no) but it is what you wanted quickly, i.e. wind. In which there is a painful punishment. She will destroy every thing by the command of her Lord, so they became such in the morning that nothing could be seen except their houses, thus We punish the guilty people.
24/25 Surah Ahqaf
It was such a fast and radiative effect that even after passing thousands of years, this region did not allow the land to be settled. No plants and greenery were left there and no one was allowed to live there safely. Flying sand and human structures were left everywhere. This entire region was empty. Even today, only sand can be seen flying far and wide here. In today's time, this region is called by the name of Raba Khali.
Four thousand years have passed.
One day, an army of the best people in the world passed through this area, led by the best people in the universe. The army had come from a long distance. When Ahl Lashkar saw some ruins in this region, they decided to stop there for a while to rest and eat and drink. There was also a well there. Ahl Lashkar took water from the well, collected some dry wood there and burnt it and started preparing bread and curry.
When the chief of two places and the leader of the army came to know about this, he ordered his companions to throw away the water drawn from the well, the cooked bread and the prepared curry and not to eat any of it or drink Get out of here as soon as possible, otherwise all of you may be called. A nation was punished here. Do not use anything here.
This food was prepared for a large army. It was very large. But on the order of the Prophet ﷺ, everything was wasted.
This is the knowledge that Allah bestowed upon him that he had detected an unseen epidemic or plague in that place which was deadly for humans.
In the Holy Qur'an, the word Rih al-Aqeem is used for this air. Rih means windy and barren, barren woman, man or earth.
The scholars searched for the meaning of this word barren air for a long time but could not find out about such barren air which was so deadly that it melts the flesh from the body and rots the bones and makes everything in that place barren. So that even after thousands of years nothing could produce anything there. In the present era, after knowing about the nuclear experiments and their failure, the thought goes in this direction and the meanings of these verses of the Holy Qur'an became clear. A cloud that grows with lightning speed. And then comes death and causes destruction. No one gives a chance to recover. Then after that there was a barrenness which destroyed everything and did not allow anything to be born there for thousands of years.
May Allah guide us all and protect us from any such arrest.
