💕A king who fled due to fear of plague
Abdul Malik bin Marwan, the king of Banu Umayyah, when an epidemic of plague broke out in the country of Syria, he fled from his city on a horse for fear of death and took his special slaves and some troops with him and he was so afraid of the plague. He was afraid and harassed that he did not put his feet on the ground but slept
on the back of a horse. He did not sleep one night during the journey. So he said to his slave that you tell me a story.
So the clever slave took the opportunity to advise the king and told the story that a fox used to serve a lion to protect his life, so no beast could look at the fox because of the fear of the lion. And the fox lived very fearlessly and contentedly with the lion. Suddenly, one day an eagle pounced on the fox, so the fox ran away to the lion. And the lion carried him on his back. The eagle swooped down again and flew away with the fox on the lion's back in its talons. The fox screamed and cried out to the lion, so the lion said, "O fox!"I can protect you from the beasts that live on earth, but I cannot save you from those who attack from the sky.
Hearing this story, Abdul Malik Badshah got a great lesson and he understood that my army can protect me from those enemies who live on earth, but those who attack me from the sky with calls and plagues. Neither my kingdom can save nor my treasure nor my army can protect me. There is no one who can save you from the heavenly calls except God. Thinking this, the fear of plague left King Abdul Malik's heart and he settled in his royal palace with peace and contentment.
