The wells dug by the giants for Hazrat Suleiman
A remote
village of Saudi Arabia "Lina" contains many prehistoric wonders. There are also 300 wells dug by giants for the army of Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him).
Although most of them are defunct, people still get fresh water from 20 wells. The giants made these wells by breaking through the hardest rocks, rather than the earth, which still baffles experts. Tourists from far and wide visit this area to see these wonders.
According to Al-Arabiya report, this historic village of Saudi Arabia "Lina" is located 100 kilometers away from Rafah, the northern city of the kingdom. This ancient region is famous across the country for its numerous archeological sites with strategic importance. There is also an ancient fort here. In ancient times, the famous hiking route between Jerusalem and Yemen passed through this village. The famous road "Darb Zubaydah" built by Queen Zubaydah from Aden to Iraq also passed from here. Tourists still visit this area in large numbers.
Saudi researcher Hamad al-Jasser says that the army of Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) also landed in this ancient village. When Solomon (peace be upon him) was going to Yemen with his army, he stayed here. When the army needed water in this barren area, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) ordered the jinn to dig wells as an emergency. These very deep wells still exist in original condition. Which is considered as a miracle still existing on earth. The giants used a drill-like tool to cut the rocks, traces of which can still be clearly seen around the wells.
Experts are researching how the giants finally cut the hardest rocks to a depth of 60 to 80 meters and what tools they used. Although only 20 of these 300 wells are functional now, traces of all the wells are still present here. Everyone who sees these wells is amazed.
According to historical traditions, when Hazrat Suleiman (peace be upon him) was going to Yemen with his Lao army, he landed here for lunch. The army also included the army of giants. When the people became thirsty, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) looked at the commander of the army of giants, "Sabatar", and he was laughing. When Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) asked him why he was laughing, he said that you people are dying of thirst, but sweet water is under your feet. Hazrat Suleiman (peace be upon him) ordered Sabatar to draw water, so within a short time he dug 300 wells with the help of his army and the entire army of Sayyiduna Suleiman (as) was irrigated.
All these wells were full of fresh water till the time of the famous historian Yaqut Hamvi. Yaqut Hamvi wrote in his famous book "Mujam al-Buldan" that "Lina" comes to the seventh floor while going to Makkah from the city of Wasit in Iraq. This area is famous for its fresh water wells. Due to these wells, this area later became a commercial center. Where the traders of Iraq and Arabia would set up markets. People from the northern regions of Saudi Arabia, including Najd, used to come here to shop. Traders used to keep their trade goods here in huge warehouses built on the mountains for safekeeping until the next season. They are called "Syabayt". These warehouses are still there.
Apart from this, this area is also famous for various archeological sites. The Saudi government has also built a royal fort here. Built in 1354 AH, this fort is made of mortar, stones and wood. It should be noted that Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) was also given rulership over the jinn by God. The giants participated in the construction of Bait al-Maqdis by his order. They used to fetch stones from far away and pearls from the sea. The buildings he built are still there. Apart from this, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) used to take many tasks from the jinn. Which is clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran.
