Allama Ibn Hajar says that I saw a person whose hand was cut off from the shoulder and he was shouting and saying, "Look at me and get a lesson" and do not oppress anyone at all. I went ahead and asked him, "My brother, what happened to you?" The man replied, brother, my story is strange. In fact, I used to support the oppressors.
One day I saw a fisherman who had caught a very big fish. I liked the fish. I went to him and said, "Give me this fish." He replied, "I will not give you this fish because I have to sell it and feed my children with its price."I beat him and forcibly snatched the fish from him and went on my way. While I was picking up the fish, suddenly the fish bit my thumb hard. I came home with the fish and put it aside. Now I had a tingling and pain in my thumb and it started to hurt so much that I couldn't sleep because of it. My whole hand was swollen.
When morning came, I went to the doctor and complained of pain. The doctor said this thumb has started rotting. So it is better to cut it off, otherwise the whole hand will rot. I amputated my thumb. But after that the hand started to rot and due to the pain I became very restless and could not sleep. People asked me to cut off my palm, so I did so, now the pain has increased to my elbow. My anxiety and sleep were all gone and I began to cry and cry out in pain. One person suggested separating the hands from the elbows. I did the same but now the pain reached my chin and the saranda reached there. People said that now the entire arm will have to be amputated, otherwise the pain will spread throughout the body.
Now people started asking me why this pain started for you. I told them the story of the fish. He said that if you had initially gone to the fishmonger and apologized to him, made him agree and in any case made the fish halal for you, then your hand would not have been cut like this. So go now and find him and apologize to him otherwise the pain will spread throughout the body.
I got up and started looking for the fish man all over the city and finally found him in one place. I fell at his feet and cried and said, forgive me for the sake of Allah. He asked me who are you? I said I am the person who took the fish from you. Then I told him my story and showed him my hand.
He cried seeing it and said, "My brother, I have made this fish halal for you" because I have seen your fate. I said to him, I am asking you by God that when I took your fish, did you give me any bad dua? This person said yes, I prayed at that time that O Allah! He overcame me in the pride of his power and force, and he took away from me the sustenance that You had given me and oppressed me, so show him the charisma of force. My Lord Allah has shown you His strength.
Now I repent before Allah and promise that I will neither oppress anyone nor help an oppressor. God willing, I will keep my promise as long as I live.
