There is no doubt that magic is a great reality but it is the enemy of man. Its bite is very dangerous, however, its effect can be removed through Quranic teachings. 

The reality of magic is also present in the Qur'an in the story of Musa (peace be upon him) and Pharaoh, while the prophet of the end of time Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) was also bewitched and its effect was also evident... 

According to Bukhari's tradition, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fell victim to a high level of magic. At that time, Hazrat Jibraeel (a.s.) came with his companions and said:

"A Jew has cast a spell on you and this spell is in a well..."

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent for it, it was a comb with teeth and hairs with eleven knots inside a thread and a thin layer of wax with needles stuck in it. According to Jibraeel (a.s.), the knot would come untied and the needle would come out when the Prophet (s.a.w.) recited the verses. By the end of the admonition, all the knots were untied and the needles came out, and the Holy Prophet became righteous as if a person were freed from a shackle... 

The spiritual remedy prescribed by the religion of Islam for the breaking of magic is the reading of the Mu`awīzātīn. The last two surahs of the Holy Qur'an, Surat al-Nas and Surat al-Falaq, are collectively known as Mu'awztin. Although these last two chapters of the Holy Qur'an are rather separate and are written under different names in the Mushaf, they are so closely related and their subjects are so closely related to each other that they have a common name. The Mu'awiztin (suras seeking refuge) have been placed... 

Imam Bayhaqi, may God bless him and grant him peace, has written in the evidences of Prophethood that these revelations also happened at the same time, that is why the collective name of both of them is Muawzitin. These two surahs are actually a prayer to seek refuge with God from magic and some other evils. If read with full conviction, there is nothing better than them. Scholars also agree that if someone has been bewitched, he can recite these two surahs himself and seek treatment from a Muslim scholar. 

Witchcraft is a deception, open polytheism and an easy and quick way to achieve one's illicit desires through satanic practices. Following this path, a person loses both the religion and the world. Nowadays, people have made it a means of earning money. Simple people are very easily fooled by fake agents and many times lose their valuable wealth and honor, but there are also a large number of experts in black knowledge. It should be remembered that both the person who performs magic and the one who is doing magic are excluded from Islam.
